Best Data Showcase Award of MSR' 18
Researchers from the Businness Analytics Lab were honored with the "Best Data Showcase Award" of the "MSR' 18: 15th International Conference on Mining Software Repositories".
In particular, in the context of the conference the paper that was awarded had the title "VulinOSS: A dataset of security vulnerabilities in open-source systems" by Mr. Antonis Gortzis and Dimitris Mitropoulos supervised by the President of DMST and Professor Diomidis Spinellis, and with research subject the dataset on empirical research in software security.
Mr. Antonis Gortzis is a PhD candidate in the Department and a Marie Curie Fellowship scholar. Mr. Dimitris Mitropoulos has received his doctorate from the Department, has continued as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University, and now cooperates with DMST as a postdoctoral researcher and scholar.
It is worth noting that the distinction at the conference "Mining Software Repositories", which belongs to the evaluative category A in accordance with the CORE classification (Computing Research and Education), certifies the high quality of the research work carried out in the Department.
