On Friday 18th of March, 2022, Professor Koundouri and co-authors, received the prize for the Best Applied Article published by the Journal of Benefit-Cost Analysis.
The article develops and applies a method for monetizing the public benefits and costs of open science , and using them as a basis for a Business Model for a financially sustainable Open Access Science Infrastructure. The method can be applied to all Public Infrastructures and is extremely relevant for the efficient allocation of resources for the implementation of the European Green Deal and the SDGs.
